The Atticus will be a staple in the Phaez lineup for the foreseeable future.
There will be many different versions with differing output sections.
Pics will be updated shortly as the amp is under construction

This one has a blue/creme finger jointed pine head cab
1. 2 x EL84 operated in fixed bias, power output about 18W, 3 x 12AX7 and 1 x 12AT7 for the phase inverter.  If your only exposure to EL84 has been types using cathode bias (self bias), fixed bias is so much more dynamic and touch sensitive.  This is not your typical compressed Vox type sound.
2. The Atticus is a 2 channel amp, the H channel my latest high version, in the similar area as the Asheville, and the L channel is F-style Blackface/Twin.  The level control on the H channel just allows you to set it’s level to match the L channel.
3. Depth (aka Resonance) control added.  Does to the low end what presence does to the high end.
4. Speaker connections for 4, 8, 16 ohms
5. Loop included, level is very pedal friendly, I have seen many amps that will overload common 9V pedals.
6. Each channel has a tonestack.
7. There are separate bias pots so you can balance the DC in the output transformer.  DC imbalance is bad IMO, a little AC imbalance – no problem!
8. Relays are used for channel switching and the important thing is they are not in the signal path when the channel is selected.

From an Atticus 35 owner: “I just had an extended play through the Atticus 35 and I gotta say how happy I am with it.  It is replacing a Marshall DSL100 and wow it blows it away in every aspect.  I am thrilled!”

Another message from someone else: “Just got done with a test drive of my new Atticus 35…..WOW!.  Unbelievable performance of this 35W amp.  It is hard to imagine that kind of tone coming from a 20lb amp (probably 22lb)…I love it!  My 80lb JCM800 may never see the light of day again.  Thank you so much for sending such a killer amp and getting it here so quickly”

Yet another message from someone else:  “First of, I just wanted to say the Atticus 6L6 is incredible.  Both channels are exactly what I was looking for.  The Corona is so warm and spanky even with my Les Paul, and has really nice breakup when pushed.  The OD channel is so smooth and full.  Gain for days!  I don’t think I will be using any of my other amps for a while.  I never thought I’d find an amp that had both a clean and dirty channel that I liked, and in your amp they’re literally perfect”

This one is priced at a very reasonable US$765 or CDN$999, includes tubes and head cab.  Shipping a bit extra.
I will try and get a youtube clip done before too long.
I am open to the idea of a short video chat via FB Messenger – works very well and I can demonstrate the features.
Email me if you are interested, Randy phaezamp@gmail.com or hit “Contact” on this site.
Other options available too – different output tubes, different colours, custom name, etc.
Main signal is point-to-point and components are in the best possible position.  I’ve been doing this a LONG time.
Even though I am based in Ontario, Canada I never had an issue shipping to the US.
If you want to put it on layaway for a couple months, US$200 will hold it.
