RECENT BUILD – THE SHADOW
The Shadow was custom build and I think a very cool tool. The DNA for The Shadow is a the Fender Deluxe 5E3. But this one is MUCH more versatile. It maintains the cathodyne phase inverter of the 5E3 as well as a self-biasing PP pair of 6V6’s for about 15W. One channel covers the 5E3 tones and the second is Fender Blackface.

S.I.R. #36 Chassis only
How about a chassis only version of the 25W S.I.R.#36 and 25W from a pair of EL34’s? Very cool circuit and is nice and bright. IMO there is a similarity between EVH’s amp and Slash’s. Eddie’s was BRIGHT – listen to the first chords on Runnin’ With The Devil. And listen to GNR Sweet Child O’ Mine – Slash is using his neck pickup with the tone rolled all the way off. The resulting (great) tone is into an amp that is BRIGHT!
